Agency Copy Editor
Position Overview
The Agency Copy Editor is responsible for reviewing and refining written content to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to client guidelines. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of grammar and style, contributing to the overall quality of agency deliverables.
This role is 3 days onsite in Irving, Texas. This person must have agency copy editing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit content for grammar, punctuation, style, and consistency.
- Ensure that all copy meets the agency's quality standards and client expectations.
- Collaborate with writers and designers to enhance the overall presentation of materials.
- Provide constructive feedback to writers on improving their work and adhering to best practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a copy editor, preferably in an agency setting.
- Strong proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago) and the ability to apply them appropriately.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
