Responsibilities:
- Lead Requirements Gathering:
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements through various techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, document analysis).
- Ensure requirements are clear, concise, unambiguous, testable, and traceable.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements effectively based on business value, risks, and constraints.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with business users, project managers, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and ensure alignment.
- Effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactively identify and resolve conflicts and issues related to requirements.
- Obtain and document stakeholder approval for all requirements.
- Project Lifecycle Support:
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.
- Support the development and execution of test plans and participate in defect resolution.
- Manage requirement traceability and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential roadblocks.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and Workday product updates.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the requirements gathering process.
- Embrace feedback and actively seek opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Workday HCM and/or Workday Adaptive Insights (Workforce Planning).
- Proven experience in eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing complex business requirements.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and techniques (e.g., user stories, use cases, process modeling).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Preferred:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of integration best practices.
