The Role
As a Director, Customer Solutions you will work within the WI Agile framework as a member of the Customer Solutions Chapter. With the Squad Leader, you will provide effective product leadership and management of the product backlog with a focus on communication, risk mitigation, quality assurance, effective delivery and building trusting relationships. Directors in Customer Solutions must be highly motivated, "self-starters" with a sense of ownership, and a strong desire to succeed. You will be a key member the Client Reporting and Analytics Product Area working closely with a team of cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, and dedicated squad members responsible for delivering specific business goals.
This role is responsible for designing business intelligence and reporting solutions for our external business partners. The Director, Customer Solutions is required to have intimate knowledge of various business intelligence and reporting platforms/technologies and works directly with our Client Reporting & Analytics squad leads and other internal business partners to design solutions, ensuring data visualization and dashboard functionality are optimized, increasing efficiency in how the information is delivered to, and digested by, our stakeholders.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Experience with web design within the reporting space, ideally utilizing PowerBI
- Serve as expert and leader in solutions design and various BI platforms/technologies creating clear, specific, and achievable objectives for team members.
- Provide design and functionality expertise for solution development. Ensure all BI solutions adhere to our Fidelity Workplace Investing design guidelines while optimizing dashboard functionality and data digestion.
- Ability to prioritize iterative product releases leading to a successful customer experience
- Innovate BI solutions to enhance competitive advantage and improve our bottom line
- Proficiency in various business analysis methodologies, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing and product documentation
- Develop design requirements, wireframes/solution mockups
- Agile mentality; experience with Jira or similar Agile backlog management tool preferred
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to lead with empathy to resolve conflicts
- Outstanding listening, communication and facilitation skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proven time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple competing priorities
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to clearly articulate product vision and features

- Assist with quarterly planning activities and ongoing prioritization of squad backlog
- Apply expert knowledge and act as a trusted advisor by providing consultation services to internal clients in areas of critical initiatives
- Effectively present information and roadmap progress to Product Area and Domain leadership
- Assist with the elaboration of Epics, Themes and Features into user stories that are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint
- Identify business needs and improvement opportunities; develop use cases and propose solutions
- Actively manage partner expectations and maintain strong communication throughout each release
- Build effective relationships with key business, IT and Legal, Compliance, and Risk partners to drive initiatives to completion
