LOCATION
This position is assigned onsite at One Energy Plaza located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance from the location or willing to relocate (relocation package is available to those who qualify).
GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director Asset Management will oversee the development of strategies to optimize the profitability and efficiency of the organization's physical assets, e.g. plants, facilities, equipment, etc. The incumbent will continuously monitor and analyze highly complex asset operations and costs and implement best practices for managing and maintaining physical assets and provide support for a variety of projects relating to diversified multi-asset product initiatives of the business' existing portfolio. This position will drive collaboration with portfolio managers and investment strategists for the ongoing tracking and maintenance of multi-asset investments. The Director Asset Management works closely with internal stakeholders, portfolio managers and investment strategists to deliver innovative investment solutions utilizing a systematic approach to asset allocation and selection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for fleet rate case strategy including testimony
- Review team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development
- Oversee the development of informational content and highlight trends that optimize competitive positioning
- Oversee strategy/development and management for asset class products
- Drive engagement with the investor relations team on offerings and future asset class product launches to provide expertise and analysis
- Other duties as assigned or may be necessary
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Skilled in analyzing and organizing financial and investment data
- Ability to prepare and present financial and accounting records
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to exercise judgment in making critical decisions
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics with ten (10) or more years of experience with asset management strategies
- (OR) Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics with twelve (12) or more years of experience with asset management strategies
- (OR) High school diploma/GED with fourteen (14) or more years of experience with asset management strategies
