Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to manage and execute various events from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of events that align with our organization's goals and objectives.
This is a full remote 40 hrs./week role, however, must be SD local to come onsite for events and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including logistics, venue selection, and vendor management.
- Work closely with internal teams to understand event goals and requirements.
- Develop and manage event timelines and budgets to ensure events are executed on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing.
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all details are executed as planned.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and attract attendees.
- Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate success and gather feedback for future improvements.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for future events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent vendor management skills and experience negotiating contracts.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively work with teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis related to events is a plus.
