The Area Reservations Generation Manager is responsible for overseeing the process of generating and managing hotel reservations. This includes implementing revenue management systems and strategies to optimize room rates and inventory, overseeing the hotel reservations department, monitoring occupancy levels and revenues, and training and developing reservations personnel. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as experience in reservations management and customer service.
The Area Reservations Generation Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the hotel is operating at optimum occupancy levels and providing guests with exceptional service. The ideal leader is analytical, innovative, organized and collaborative.
Other responsibilities include managing a team of reservation agents, training and coaching staff on effective processes and customer service techniques and collaborating with other departments to ensure that guests’ needs are met throughout their stay.
Overall, the Area Reservations Generation Manager plays a critical role in the success of the hotels by ensuring that reservations are handled professionally and efficiently, leading to high levels of guest satisfaction and increased revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the reservations process for both hotels, including overseeing the team responsible for taking and managing reservations, group rooming lists, and group sales bookings
- Ensuring all reservation requests are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Develop and implement reservation strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, upgrades, and packages for both hotels.
- Ensure the accuracy of reservations and maintain and update the hotel's reservation system and ensure that it is operating at peak efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and develop the reservations team, ensuring high levels of performance, productivity, and job satisfaction.
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues related to reservations promptly and professionally.
- Connect with customers through Online Travel Agency sites
- Liaise with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure the seamless delivery of guest services.
- Monitor and analyze reservation trends and provide updates
Qualifications
Requirements:.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a reservations leadership role, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of Hyatt reservations systems
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
