Job Summary: The IT Service Desk Intern provides first-level support for technical infrastructure, including Windows and macOS computers, as well as various client-based IT applications and services. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology and delivering exceptional customer service in a professional and approachable manner.
Responsibilities:- Deliver excellent end-to-end user support by promptly resolving or escalating issues, maintaining professional and timely communication throughout.- Serve as the liaison for logging, dispatching, and tracking incidents and service requests; follow up to ensure resolution and fulfillment.- Provision and stage hardware for employees.- Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues for end users, recommending and implementing effective solutions.- Document resolutions and contribute to self-help and knowledge base content.- Assist in the procurement of hardware and software.- Perform asset management tasks, including maintaining accurate inventory records.- Troubleshoot user workstations and related hardware/software to ensure optimal performance.- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve escalated issues.- Provide after-hours support when needed.- Adhere to company IT policies and procedures.- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related technical field.- Strong interest in technology, customer support, and IT security.- Hands-on experience with hardware provisioning and troubleshooting.- Solid working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, MS Office, and other productivity tools.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts in user-friendly language.- Effective interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.- Ability to research and learn about new tools, technologies, and solutions as needed.
