The Maintenance Technician will ensure the smooth operation of equipment, facilities, and systems, minimizing downtime and preventing costly repairs. With their expertise in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs, the Maintenance Technician can address issues promptly, extending the lifespan of machinery and reducing operational disruptions. Additionally, this role will support equipment installation and setup at VTC.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment such as hydro testing systems, steam testing systems, and assembly equipment, and compressors.
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on testing and operational equipment.
- Maintaining and repairing paint booths, blasting machines, and storage systems (e.g., Vertical Lift Modules - VLMs).
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, including wiring, motors, controllers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ensuring proper function of facility lighting, AC systems, and general electrical infrastructure.
- Conducting general upkeep and repair of HVAC systems, compressors, and other utility systems.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting facility systems such as water, air, and power supply for optimal operation.
- Performing inspections of pressure systems and testing components to maintain accuracy and safety.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair logs, PM schedules, and parts inventory.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Working closely with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
- Coordinating with external vendors for specialized repairs and equipment servicing when needed.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in industrial maintenance roles.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
- Experience with PLCs, electrical wiring, motors, and control panels.
- Familiarity with maintenance of paint booths, compressors, and HVAC systems.
