This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.
Department Description:
We are an IT team that manages the national provider database. In order to provide both members and providers the best possible experience, our system integrates various state and federal requirements, organizes complex multi-regional data, and prepares that data for multiple partner groups to consume and publish.
Intern Project(s):
This role will require agile methodologies in a product model environment. Day to day tasks will include gathering requirements, establishing timelines, creating metrics to measure progress and value, and driving projects to completion. Possible areas are AI integration, UX design, and Data Integration and Manipulation.
Target Majors:
Healthcare Administration
Target Skills:
Knowledge of relational databases, UX design, AI languages, and/or SQL/SAS. Healthcare/Insurance industry knowledge and demonstration of commitment to the field through degree coursework. Interest in project/program management a plus.
