Lead Technology, Region North America (NA) owns the overall relationship with the North America region (countries include United States and Canada) and Sandoz Technology. The role acts as a liaison between Global Technology teams and the business teams in the region and countries. Therefore, the role will work closely with the Region NA leadership team, focusing on commercial operations, to define the Technology strategy that will enable markets to achieve their business goals. The role owner will sit in the region's Head LT and thus needs to engage with leaders in the region but also countries directly.
The role will lead digital transformation initiatives and global programs that span across the whole value chain. The role ensures that global programs land in countries in an integrated and transparent way. The role holder will therefore need to manage a broad range of stakeholders across functions (e.g. Commercial, Finance, Portfolio, etc.) and within Technology.
In addition, the role supports the program teams to effectively define the program delivery for countries and removes impediments in the planning and rollout of global programs with countries. Finally, the role creates transparency for local downstream / horizontal implications of the programs. The role leads a team who also acts as a single point of contact for any Technology-related country or regional need.

Major Accountabilities
Leading demand management and owning end-to-end planning consolidation and adoption
- Partner with region and countries to co-create the Business & Technology Strategy to achieve Sandoz goals
- Play back demand into overall planning cycle to navigate through unit demand management process
- Stakeholder engagement with direct exposure to Regional Heads and their reporting lines
- Represent regional and country interests in Global Technology portfolio management and budget allocation
- Work as a team member and collaborator with both global Program Leads and region/countries to make sure Global Technology roadmap is well delivered
- Ensure transparency of budget spent for Global, Region and Local budget owners across the program lifecycle to allow for efficient budget planning and spending
- Translate Global Technology program plans into end-to-end plans from a country perspective
- Ensure that regional / country business resources needed to deploy a project / service are available for successful rollout
- Support market in monitoring usage and adoption of global platforms and applications
- Escalate business critical ad hoc demands and support risk mitigation
Ensure that global programs land in countries in an integrated and transparent way
- Support joint target setting between Global Programs and internal customers (functions, teams, countries, enterprise level) to ensure shared objectives
- Ensure clear responsibilities according to an operational excellence framework and full transparency of the operating model and responsibilities for region / countries
- Ensure that global priorities and status of ongoing programs is always transparently and proactively communicated to region / country stakeholders
- Ensure high level of collaboration with region and countries
Partner with domain change leads and integration leads to ensure effective program implementation
- Input into integration planning and management for large scale programs that span across domains
- Ensure adoption of best practices in communication and engagement with regional and country stakeholders according to engagement playbooks
- Promote agile principles and solution deployment once wider rollout has been initiated
- Ensure change and communication tactics are aligned with regional priorities and way of working
Provide input and shape operating model of new technology organization
- Support operating model of Sandoz Technology and translate operating model into working relationship with both region and countries
Overview
- 4 direct reports; but needs to manage without authority both regional and CTO stakeholders and colleagues in region/country organizations.
- Responsible for Technology (combined IT and Digital) budget across the region.
- Critical for business continuity and strategic direction of digital and technology in the region.
Ideal Background
Education:
University degree or various degrees in science and/or business preferred.
Languages:
Fluent English written and spoken
Experience:
- 10 years+ of experience in project management, consulting, finance or similar
- 10 years+ experience in leading transformational programs, ideally in the field of data, digital or technology
- Deep experience in stakeholder management in a complex environment with matrix organization
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals preferably generics
- Leadership experience in matrix organization to manage without authority
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to develop recommendations, and ability to persuade / influence organization of recommended path
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, to be accountable for individual & team results and drive change across functions
- High display of Sandoz Values & Behaviors
- Excellent stakeholder management and organizational skills in order to drive large scale change across the region
- Project management skills: experience with global cross-functional projects at Business Unit Level is a must
- Proven self-starter with high standards of excellence and an innovative mind
- Tech savviness and aptitude to support innovative commercial and operation initiatives and expansions with a critical focus on performance as well as identification, evaluation and incorporation (where applicable) of emerging technologies and trends
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
Business Travel Requirement: Estimated 10% of domestic travel.
Position Location:
This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ site. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $201,600 and $302,400/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
