Opportunity to grow from a paraplanner to an independent financial advisor with an expanding financial planning office, which is based in White Bear Lake and affiliated with Ameriprise Financial. This person will be an employee of an independent financial advisor franchisee.
Assist in daily business operations that support the role of financial advisor using Ameriprise Financial technology systems, including Thomson One, NaviPlan, Morningstar, Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook and MS Office 360. This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering and analyzing client data; helping prepare preliminary financial plans, insurance illustrations, investment reports; and processing investment transactions. The successful candidate will work with clients to resolve issues and other practice management tasks as needed. Must be willing to engage with clients through meetings, events, by phone and email. Additionally, this person must follow consistently high standards of business ethics, legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.
Base salary: $50,000 - $90,000 to include bonus

Position Functions:
Meeting Preparation:
Prepare preliminary financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions for advisor review and use in client meetings.
Prepare and understand insurance for client meetings, including life, disability, and long-term care.
Prepare charts, graphs, tables, and other visual aids to be used in implementation meetings with clients.
Develop portfolio/product solution recommendations that will fit the client's risk tolerance and timeframe as well as develop appropriate product deliverables.
Participate in ongoing client review meetings.
Meeting Follow-up:
Process transactions for insurance, annuity and brokerage products.
Review and update client information as needed for client review meetings.
Communicate the process and story of our firm to help develop the client base.
Respond to client questions by email or outgoing calls.
Client Service:
Manage and resolve client service problems as needed.
Maintain client contact during the financial planning process.
Place calls to gather assets and qualify new clients.
Update and track compliance reports.
Financial Planning:
Perform statistical Analysis using Monte Carlo and other models.
Assist with asset allocation and investment development.
Assist with investment and retirement income tax planning and strategy development.
Discover growth opportunities within the client base by analyzing their financial data.
Participate in regular team meetings.
Integrate into the team's organizational process, CRM system, Outlook, social media, and communication plan.

Qualifications:
Licensed with Series 7, Series 66, life, accident and health insurance licenses or willingness to get licenses immediately. Financial professional designations a plus.
At least 1-year of experience in the financial planning industry preferred.
Undergraduate degree in business, economics, or finance. An alternative degree would require experience in the industry.
