Position: Senior Systems Analyst

This position will be responsible for delivering first class service, advice, and technical support to our users, through the highest standards of customer service, efficiency, knowledge, and integrity. This individual should have vast experience in IT Operations Management of Data Centers with an in-depth knowledge of Server and Storage sub systems along with Backup and Restoration Services. This individual will work with all DC Service Operators globally for the stability and integrity of mission critical infrastructure, applications, and systems. This position will ensure adherence of provided IT Data Center Services to the business as per agreed SLA’s and update accordingly. This position will be be located in Waltham and work a hybrid office schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and delivery management oversight for support teams responsible for all storage solutions, Global, On-Premises, and Cloud connected resources, Working with our support team and vendors on any issues to resolution
Global responsibility for Rubrik Application backup and restoration solution and any other utilities that might be utilized for this purpose
Global responsibilities for managing Command Center team and processes. Review SLAs with the team to make sure tickets are addressed efficiently and on time
Oversee the local DCO and assist with resolving the daily operational issues primarily related to the Waltham MA site and for Global sites when required
Assist with escalations from IT Application owners and assisting team members with troubleshooting the infrastructure issues and drive to resolution
Assist Patch Management tower setting up and updating the patching for On-Premises and AWS systems outside of the normal patching cadence. This includes working with System owners for identifying suitable downtime windows and handling communications throughout the patching process
Assist in day-to-day IT service delivery escalations relative to operational performance of Data Center Operation support teams and connected services
Facilitate cross-team collaboration to drive resolution of complex issues with support from other IT groups as required
Be that Subject Matter Expert to identify and lead execution of continual improvement initiatives with respect to designated areas of responsibility
In partnership with the Director of Infrastructure, ensure technical support teams are operating in adherence with all defined IT Service Management Policies and Processes
Partner with both Enterprise Architecture and Project Delivery to leverage deep understanding of support requirements and facilitate regular reviews of operational readiness criteria to help ensure stability and supportability of all new or modified services
Partner with Security to ensure technical support teams are operating in adherence with all defined IT Security and Network policies and in compliance with SOX, NIST, and other regulatory standards
Provide guidance and approvals to technical staff and communicate meaningful status to IT leadership during major Incidents involving the designated technologies
Work with Team Leads/Support Vendors for consolidating the support details and assisting with support contract renewals for Global backup and storage systems.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Data Center Operations
5+ years of experience managing infrastructure teams that support Global and on-prem Servers and Storage sub systems.
5+ years of experience working with a Managed Service Provider
Advanced Administrative knowledge of Server Operating Systems, storage, backup, and restoration procedures.
5+ years of experience in Networking

Preferred Qualifications

Proven progressive experience as an Information Technology professional, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
Highly self-motivated and directed, in a fast-paced team environment
Sharp attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective time management in working on internal tasks as well as with external vendors
Ability to work a hybrid schedule in our Waltham office
