Description
The Technician, Formulation will manufacture animal health vaccine medias/solutions following defined procedures and regulations for raw material management and media production.
Duties & Responsibilities
Technician II
- Responsible for performing the activities associated with raw material management and the preparation of medias according to USDA regulations.
- Ensures compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures during execution of processes.
- Assists with training and coaching of current and new employees on required skills.
- Completes/Reviews in process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintenance of technical data and support documentation.
- Participates in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalation of production flow disturbances.
- Demonstrates a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives.
- Assesses individual performance regarding the continuous improvement (AAI).
- Participates and provides support to site projects and initiatives (including deviation and change control management).
Technician III

Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Biology Degree or related field, one (1) year or more of laboratory experience and/or manufacturing experience.
- Basic math skills, equipment/automation trouble shooting skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
Technician III
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Biology Degree or related field, one (1) year or more of laboratory experience and/or manufacturing experience.
- Basic math skills, equipment/automation trouble shooting skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
Technician IV
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Biology Degree or related field from an accredited institution, two years or more (2+) of laboratory experience and/or manufacturing experience
- Basic math skills
- Equipment/automation trouble shooting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Clean room and aseptic technique knowledge
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Working knowledge of cGMP and USDA requirements for Vaccine Manufacturing
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
