BODYARMOR is looking for a Trade Planning Analyst to join our team.
As a BODYARMOR Trade Planning Analyst you will work with Commercial Finance Leadership and our Sales Team to assist in tracking trade spend budgets and providing analysis to explain spending and sales volume results. This individual will also assist in accurately managing multiple vendor relationships, from receipt to payment. The ideal candidate has a high attention to detail, strong excel skills, is an adaptable team player, and demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn internal planning tool ‘The Huddle’ and assist in the management of trade spend and promotional budgets with Trade Planning Manager(s) and the field sales organization
- Assist in the month-end reconciliation of budget versus actual spending and provide analysis of results to Commercial Finance Leadership and Profit Growth Management
- Ensure the timely closing of trade spend accruals for various customers throughout the year
- Reference customer point-of-sale data to inform accrual amounts
- Work with your Trade Planning Manager(s) to propose forecast recommendations to the field sales organization for various customers on a monthly basis
- Own the timely and accurate management of multiple vendor relationships, from receipt to payment
- Reconcile bills against budget in ‘The Huddle’
- Interface with Sale’s team(s) to resolve any inconsistencies or incomplete information
- Maintain record of customer discounts for communication to distributor partners and for trade accrual accuracy
- Collaborate with the Commercial Execution team to process bills, track inventory purchases from Coke Catalog, allocate them to the appropriate budget, and monitor inventory balances at the end of each month.
- Reconcile the General Ledger monthly for trade spend activity, ensuring all activities are correctly coded to the corresponding budget and investigate discrepancies to determine the appropriate budget allocation.
- Work on enhancement initiatives for BODYARMOR’s planning tools and support additional ad hoc projects as requested, such as providing additional performance insights using NielsenIQ and/ or working with IT to improve internal reporting capabilities
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Finance or Accounting preferred
- 1-2 years of Corporate Finance and/or Trade Planning/ Sales experience in CPG (beverage) required
- Position requires hybrid in-person attendance in Whitestone, NY office (in-person Tues-Thurs)
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office Suite
- Strong analysis, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Position requires occasional travel by car or plane
