Reporting to the Senior Manager of Insurance Policy Analyst, Reconstruction and Archaeology, the Insurance Recovery Analyst is responsible for general file maintenance, organization and routine tasks associated with the performance of specific project assignments for the Firm’s insurance recovery team in the litigation practice group.
This position will be resident in the Washington, DC office and a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule is available.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Research and Policy Analysis
Conduct historical corporate research,
Assist with document analysis and review.
Assist with insurance policy analysis.
Document and Case Management
Review client documents for privilege and responsiveness
Coordinate litigation support needs
Maintain case files
Assist with preparation of correspondence and billing
Document and database maintenance
Trial, Mediation and Settlement Support
Coordinate expert report preparation and production
Organize, label and index trial exhibits
Assist with preparation of demonstratives and presentation decks
Editorial and Research Support
Assist with research into industries and regulatory/legal developments
Online research
Summarize and analyze factual and statistical data
Experience and qualifications needed to perform this job successfully:
a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, and,
a minimum 2 years of experience preferably in a law firm setting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the insurance industry (insurance brokerage, third party administrator, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Excel expertise a must.
Research software LexisNexis and Westlaw Courtlink as well as SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence experience are a plus but not required. We are looking for candidates with the ability to adapt to new software programs.

For positions in Washington DC., the salary range for this job posting is: $62,000.00 - $99,200.00.
The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
